Learn,

PASC is a free community for engineering, veterinary, architecture and STEM students who want to meet people, understand the world of work and have a say in the industries they’re about to enter.

You don’t need to have your career mapped out. You just need to be a student who thinks your life at work – and in the world – can be better than the status quo.

Whether it’s campaigning for liveable wages, better renters’ rights,
visa justice, a four-day work week, or a free Palestine – we believe students, united, are a force for a fairer future.

PASC is supported by Professionals Australia, the union for STEM workers across Australia.

Join PASC instantly for free

No membership fee.

Joining means you can hear about events and opportunities, meet students and professionals across your field, learn more about your rights at work and get involved when there’s something worth organising around.

You can choose how involved you want to be and choose to participate in the things that interest you the most.

Whether you’re in first year, nearly finished or somewhere in the long and confusing middle, you’re welcome here.

Know what you're walking into.

Your first job shouldn’t be the first time you hear about unpaid overtime, award rates, contracts, workplace rights, professional registration, burnout or what to do when something at work isn’t right.

PASC gives you a head start.

Learn how work actually works before you have a manager telling you their version of it.

On campus. Online. Occasionally somewhere with chips.

We run events throughout the year for students across STEM, veterinary science, architecture and pharmacy.

Some are practical: careers, workplace rights, industry issues and navigating your first professional job.

Some are social. Some are political.

The point is to meet people, learn useful things and build a community that doesn’t disappear the second semester ends.

You shouldn’t have to figure everything out on your own.

Work is only one part of student life. Rent, visas, migration status, workplace rights and the cost of living all shape what your future looks like too.

PASC works alongside organisations that can help students understand their rights, find support and take action when something isn’t right.

Professionals Australia
The union behind PASC, representing professional workers across engineering, science, IT, pharmacy, veterinary practice, architecture and other specialist fields.

Renters and Housing Union (RAHU)
For renters dealing with dodgy landlords, rising rents, insecure housing or questions about their rights at home.

Migrant Workers Centre
Support for migrant workers navigating workplace problems, exploitation, visa-related concerns and their rights at work.

Activate Australia’s Skills
Working to break down the barriers that stop people with overseas qualifications and experience from using their skills in Australia, including problems with qualification and skills recognition.Â
